Blues bowling starts TOMORROW
(Friday, Sept 9) --- A change has been made for the 2011 State
Bowling competition, this year we will not have team bowling. Singles,
Doubles and Unified Doubles are still offered. Athletes can compete in two
events at State this year. The decision to remove team bowling was done to
ensure room for growth and for better competition between all delegations.
If you have not done so already - PLEASE email me back to let me know if
you'll be participating this season -- we will assign athletes to specific
lanes - so try to come 10-15 minutes early to allow getting shoes and
checking lane assignment. We ask that you please stay at the bowling alley
with your athlete - and if you have not given us an Athlete Profile form
recently - please complete and return to me on Friday. Form can be found

Please let Coach Larry know if you will be able to assist with coaching.
The fee for participating in bowling is: (check can be written
to "Special Olympics - The Blues"
$20 for non competitive $45 for athletes who compete in tournaments
Our Bowling Season:
Starts Friday September 9th through Friday November 4th 6:30-7:30PM Southtown Lanes (same as last year) - Bloomington, MN Area meet is Sunday, October 9 - (morning) Eden Prairie Brunswick Zone State Tournament is November 11-13th - Location to be determined. As always, you must be able to be in Area meet to participate in State Meet.
The Blues Team covers the cost of bowling at practice and rental
of shoes (if needed).
We look forward to another great bowling season -- and hopefully
no snow at the State Meet!
